Battery terminals that have been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time can become corroded and cause continuity issues. At Centerfire Services, we take a specific approach to handling these issues to ensure that your battery terminals are functioning properly.
Our process begins by clipping any wires that have become corroded. This is done to remove any of the corrosion that may have worked its way into the stranded wire. Next, we crimp and solder eyelets onto each wire individually. This ensures that each wire is properly connected and protected from further damage.
Once the eyelets have been soldered, we use heat shrink wrap to seal the connections and protect them from further contamination. This step is crucial in preventing corrosion and ensuring that your battery terminals are functioning properly.
The final step in our process is to set the battery terminals onto a solid lead terminal clamp with a thru bolt. This provides a secure connection and helps to prevent any future issues. Once the terminals are in place, we spray the entire setup with battery terminal protector. This helps to seal off the terminals and prevent further corrosion.
At Centerfire Services, we understand the importance of properly maintaining your battery terminals. That's why we take the time to follow this process, ensuring that your vehicle is always running smoothly. If you're experiencing issues with your battery terminals, don't hesitate to give us a call. We're here to help!
